The Biosphere is the world in which we live and share with other living things - the zone of life around our planet – for which UNESCO is developing a global network of Biosphere Reserves which promote a balanced relationship between people and nature.
The greater Brighton & Lewes area is now one example of a UNESCO Biosphere after a successful bid worked on with Brighton & Hove council and a number of other local organisations.
The campaign included coming up with an initial name for the bid as well as various types of literature and promotion. The name 'Here Here' suggests agreement as well as location and worked perfectly as a catchy statement of intent.
The logo was sandblasted into a number of dirty walls as a form of advertising. This technique worked well as it would fade over time therefore not causing any permanent damage to the walls, the surroundings or the local environment.
