John Robert Young

For over 60 years, photographer and writer John Robert Young has travelled worldwide, capturing scenes from the Great Wall of China to South American rainforests and remote African areas, documenting war, famine, and destruction. During calmer times, he also photographed well-known figures like politicians, actors, artists, musicians, and others, and was chosen as the campaign photographer for two future Prime Ministers.

Studio Lewis was approached by John and his wife Jenny to revamp his portfolio website and give it a modern touch. The primary goal was to ensure that the website's design remained uncluttered, allowing the striking images to take centre stage without distractions. The outcome is a sleek and easy-to-use website that elegantly showcases the images as the focal point, emphasising their visual impact and John's photographic prowess.
